Frank John Civilikas, formerly of Wellesley and Needham passed peacefully at age 90 on October 19, 2007 in Saratoga, CA. He was the beloved husband of Alice Hampshire Civilikas, who predeceased him in 2003.
Born on February 2, 1917 in Norwood, Mr. Civilikas served in the Army during World War II from 1942-45. During that time he was awarded the Bronze Star for action in the Pacific. He attended Brown University and graduated from Wentworth Institute and Bradford Durfree Technical Institute (UMass, Dartmouth) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. A retired Engineer, he worked 30 years in Federal Service with the Army Material Command at Natick Labs in Natick and in Alexandria, VA.
He was the devoted father of Gary Civilikas and his wife Amy Hood of Reston, VA, John Civilikas of Shelby Township, MI, and Robert Civilikas and his wife Laura of Saratoga, CA. Grandfather of Kelcey, Christopher and Alicen Civilikas of Saratoga, CA. He will be missed by his cousins Ernest F. Deluski and his wife Lois and their family of Ashland.
