Stella Buglio, 90, of 25 Theresa St. died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital in Hartford CT. She was the wife of the late Carlo Buglio. Mrs. Buglio was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Adonat Wilfred and Anna (Racine) Masse. For most of her life Mrs. Buglio was a homemaker. She had also worked as a sales personnel for the former McCarthy’s Department Store in Woonsocket for four years. Mrs. Buglio was a member of St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens and Ladies Sodality, a member and past treasurer of the Marchegiano Club, a member of Holy Family’s Catholic Family Movement, a member of the Quota Club, and a member of the reunion planning committee for the Woonsocket High School Class of 1936. Mrs. Buglio enjoyed bowling and was an avid cribbage player.
Mrs. Buglio is survived by two daughters Lynn B. Horne of Hartford CT. and Santina Ann Potter of Cumberland, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Carl A. Buglio and sister of the late Florence “Pat” Smith and Muriel McGurk.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
