Gerard W. Dupere, 77, of Newton, NH, died Friday, October 19, 2007 in the Haven Health Center, Derry. Mr. Dupere was born in Londonderry, NH on September 7, 1930, a son of the late George and Rose (Simard) Dupere. He was raised in Londonderry and had lived in Derry for 27 years. He then moved to Newton, NH following his wife’s passing. Mr. Dupere worked as a crane operator for Ingersoll-Rand in Nashua, NH for 30 years. He was also a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Lampropoulos and her husband John of Newton, two sons, Steven Dupere and his wife Christine of Peterborough, NH, Richard Dupere and his wife Michele of Derry, six grandchildren, four great grandchild, three sisters, Rita Gosselin and Theresa Douville, both of Manchester, NH, Claire Searle of Londonderry, NH, three brothers, Roger and Benny Dupere, both of California, Armand Dupere of Derry, and also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Hall) Dupere and their son, Douglas Dupere, both in 1980.
Visiting hours were held Sunday, October 21, 2007 from 4-8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
