Doris E. Dwyer, 95

Doris E. (Dolan) Dwyer, 95, of Willow Crossing in Mansfield formerly of Westwood died on Friday October 19, 2007 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of the late William P. Dwyer who passed away on October 4, 1974.
Born in Boston, MA on June 11, 1912 she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth M. (Kennedy) Dolan.
She grew up in Jamaica Plain and was educated in Jamaica Plain schools. She later moved to Brookline. Mr. Dwyer had worked as a Switchboard Operator at the former Norfolk County Trust in Dedham for 18 years before retiring.
While living in Westwood she was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Islington. Doris enjoyed traveling, her favorite places being Florida, California, Maryland and Hawaii. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past 5 years and was formerly of Westwood for many years.
She is survived by her devoted daughters; Carol E. Lucas of Mansfield, Joan E. Oakford and her husband LeRoy of Virginia and Nancy J. Cahoone and her husband William of California, her loving grandchildren; Natalie A. Hudon and her husband Robert, Jennifer E. Cofone and her husband Christopher, Melissa M. Hails and her husband Robert, Jeffrey W. Grondine, Ryan D. Mitchell and his wife Lora and Paul J. Mitchell and his wife Joanne, her cherished great grandchildren; Daniel, Marissa, Robert, Michael, Alexander, Justin and Carson and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Kelly.
Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday October 24th at 9:00 A.M. in St. Denis Church 157 Washington St. Islington. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30 A.M.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday October 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
