James L. Flynn, 84, formerly of Westcott Avenue, Providence, a manager for the former Atlantic Richfield Company in East Providence, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. He was the husband of the late Ethel M. (Cotrone) Flynn. They had been married for nearly 62 years at the time of her death in March of this year.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James P and Ellen L. (Kinnane) Flynn . He had been a resident of Providence before moving to his daughter’s home in Lincoln in 2007.
He is survived by two daughters Ellen M. Corneau and her husband Charles of Lincoln and Judith A. Mattiucci of Cranston and his loving grandchildren: Mitchell and Cassandra Corneau and Bobby, Lauryn and Ava Mattiucci. He was the brother of the late Rita McHugh and Kathryn P. Flynn. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and papa.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-7pm.
