Eleanor L. “Ellie” (McIntyre) Doucette, 79, of Norton formerly of Lake Worth, Florida and Brockton was welcomed into heaven surrounded by her loving family on Friday October 19, 2007. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Doucette and the former wife of the late Alfred Robitaille.
Born in Brockton, MA on May 17, 1928 she was a dear daughter of the late Albert B. and Mary (Edwards) McIntyre.
She grew up in Brockton and was educated in Brockton schools. Mrs. Doucette was a devoted homemaker to her loving family.
The Matriarch of her family, Ellie enjoyed reading, cooking and was known for her green thumb with indoor plants.
When younger she enjoyed trips to the family’s beach house on the Cape Cod Canal and water skiing. She loved animals and would show her generosity to others by cooking something special for them.
Ellie was the devoted mother of Lynette M. Enos and Robin A. Masse both of Norton, Michael J. Robitaille of Rehoboth, James Robitaille of North Attleboro and John A. Robitaille of Norwood. She was the loving mother in law of Larry Enos, Butch Masse, Kim, Laurie and Nancy Robitaille. She was the sister in law of Joyce and Jimmy Doucette, Alan Desilets and the late Mary Desilets. She was the adored grandmother of Deena (Masse) Russo, Jason, Jamie and Joseph Masse, Tricia Enos, Amy, Andrew and Adam Robitaille, Ryan and Braden Robitaille and Justin, David and Tobie Robitaille. She was the proud grammy to eleven great grandchildren. Ellie will also be missed by her goddaughter Patty as well as her extended family and friends.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday October 23rd at 10:00 A.M. at the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, 1 George St. (Route 106) Plainville. Burial will follow in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 22nd from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
