Nellie C. “Nickie” Bullard, 91, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, October 18, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, October 21, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bullard was born September 5, 1916 in Irwin County, to the late Duncan Henderson and Mary C. Bass Fletcher. She was a homemaker and lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Bullard was a graduate of Mystic High School and a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bullard is survived by her sons, Jimmie Bullard of Fitzgerald and C. Larry (Sandra) Bullard of Hiram; daughter-in-law, Dianne Bullard of Fitzgerald; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Shelnutt, Susan Kaczmarek, Betty Nell Gassett, Marcus Bullard and John Bullard; 5 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia, Samuel, Carson and Gareth. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Lamar Bullard, son, John Fletcher “Johnny” Bullard, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bullard, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
