Obituary


Caroline E. (Ricci) Marochino 86 years of Brockton died unexpectedly Tuesday October 16, 2007 at the Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife for 61 years of Sabino N. “Sam” Marochino. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Philip and Elvira (Chianese) Ricci. She was a life long resident of the city and a 1938 graduate of Brockton High School. When her children were grown and in school she began work as a cafeteria worker for the Brockton School Department and spent most of her career at the Gilmore School.
Mrs. Marichino was a past member of St. Margaret Ladies Sodality and the Italian Women’s Club in Brockton. She enjoyed traveling and reading and will be remembered as a dedicated mother and friend.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three devoted children Elaine Marochino and Robert Marochino both of Brockton and Joan Dion and her husband Stephen of Raynham. She also leaves many nieces and nephews including Marilyn (Ricci) Jones of Bridgewater and many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James F. Ricci.
A Funeral will be held from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish (formerly St. Colman Church) at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
