LOWELL—Germaine M. (Houle)(Lambert) Soucy, 83 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died Monday evening, October 15th, at D’Youville Senior Care, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Soucy, and the late Paul E. Lambert.
She was born in Lawrence, on November 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Ernest and Aline (Galarneau) Houle, and was a graduate St. Anne’s High School, Lawrence.
Mrs. Soucy served on the Lord Manor Tenant’s Council.
Surviving her are two daughters and a son-in-law: Gabrielle Foss, of Dracut; and Jeanne and Robert Higgins, of Methuen; a son and daughter-in-law: Claude and Therese Lambert, of Granby, MA; two step-sons: Roland J. Soucy, of Franklin, NH; and Gerald R. and Eileen Soucy, of Dracut; a brother: Rev. Andre Houle, OMI, of Tewksbury; a step-brother, Raymond Demers; six grandchildren: Stephanie, Bryan and Holly Foss; Melissa and Matthew Higgins, and Stephen Lambert; one great granddaughter: Vanessa Charlotin; 10 step-grandchildren: Karen Weiler, Debra Bradley, Michael Soucy, Michelle, Sainola, Lisa Hannan, Scott Soucy, Stephen Soucy, David Soucy, Mark Soucy, and Pamela Hamel; 15 step great-grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Gertrude Gregoire, and Robert Houle, and mother-in-law of the late Harvey C. Foss and Maxine (McDonald) Soucy.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 AM on Saturday, October 20th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday, October 20th at 10:30 AM at ST. RITA’S CHURCH, Lowell. Cremation to follow.
