Billy Lorance “Bill” Croisant, age 84, passed away in his earthly home for his heavenly home on October 15, 2007. He was an angel awaiting his call. He was born on August 14, 1923, to Willie George Croisant and Laura Jane Penney Croisant in Mooreland, Oklahoma, who both preceded him in death.
He was a six year World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as Water Tender 1st Class in the Pacific Theater 3rd Fleet. He served aboard the USS Fanning 385 and the USS Swenson 729.
He was presently a member and usher at Woodland Hills Baptist Church and was a former member of Anchor Baptist Church for many years where he was involved with children’s church with his wife. His life was his family whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed the outdoors, and he loved to watch Court TV and wrestling.
Visitation for Bill Croisant will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. The service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Anchor Baptist Church on Hwy 7 North in Lafayette County with Dr. Gerald Shook and Rev. Ken Izzard officiating. Burial will be at Camp Ground Cemetery in Lafayette County. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be John Mills, Michael L. Wilson, Steve McMinn, Zach Mills, Scott Mills, and Bill McGregor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Hill, Roy Lee Groner, Johnny Greene, Billy Stark, and Kenneth Arbuckle.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 44 years, Patsy “Pat” Mills Croisant of Oxford; one daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, Tami, David, and LaRissa Arbuckle of Water Valley; one brother, Lyle Croisant, of CA; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Mills and Leon Mc Minn; two sisters-in-law, Keron Mills and Reba McMinn; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene, Chet, and Fred Croisant, and one sister, Clementine McCoy, all of Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Anchor Baptist Church or Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
