Obituary

Mrs. Lucille Holloway Steger was born May 14, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Rebecca Holloway. She departed this life on Monday, October 15, 2007 in her home.

She confessed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. She then joined Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorship of Reverend O. D. Boone. Then later in life she joined New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorship of Reverend Wallace D. Steele.

In addition to her parents, Lucille, was preceded in death by a great grandson, Derrick McAdoo, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty-four years, Charles E. Steger, married June 13, 1965; daughter, Victoria Rice, a son, James E. Holloway of Huntsville, Alabama; step daughter, Joann Kelley of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers and two sisters, Henry G. Holloway of San Bernadino, California, Nellie A. Howard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosetta (Willie) Wynn and Gordon (Dorothy) Holloway all of Huntsville, Alabama; five sisters-in-law; Margaret (Ernest) Taylor of Berkley, Alabama, Emma Walker of Huntsville, Alabama, Patricia (Richard) Collier of Gurley, Alabama; Dines Steger and Anna L. Holloway, both of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Collier of Huntsville, Alabama, Larry (Lorraine) Steger of Compton, California; one aunt, Minnie Holloway of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Dorian Rice, Tara Rice and Jocelyn Drake; four step grandchildren, Lindsey Moore, Nicole Kelley, Daniel Humphrey and Terrell Humphrey; three great grandchildren, Jarvon Drake, Tony Toney, Jr. and Chance Toney; three very special friends, Diane Moore, Annette Lee and Maxine Caudle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs.Steger will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 4640 Merician Street, Huntsville, Alabama with Pastor Wallace Steele officiating. Interment will be held in Faith Memorial Park - Madison, Alabama.

Mrs. Steger will be available for viewing on Friday, October 19. Mrs. Steger will be placed in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
