Constance Alyson Geer passed away peacefully in Monterey California on October 12th after a long illness. She was en route to her home in Mystic with her devoted and loving husband Richard Clayton Geer and their Golden Retriever Shamus to be closer to her parents Roy and Connie Welch of Mystic CT and her many friends.
Born May 24th 1958 in Highland Park Illinois, just a few minutes ahead of her identical twin sister, Cynthia Anne Moriarty, she is also survived by her sister Jody Dore Skillman of Katonah NY, brother Scott Alexander Welch of NY, and her sister Jocelyn Spencer McCarthy of South Kingstowne RI.
Alyson attended RI College, Keene State College in New Hampshire, and Connecticut College.
Alyson was an accomplished artist, musician, composer, and poet. She enjoyed playing her flute frequently and was an avid swimmer. Most of all she loved her husband, family and friends dearly.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Mystic Congregational Church on November 10th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Lupus Foundation of America (www.Lupus.org).
