DANVERS - Mary H. Della Zoppa, age 100, of Danvers, died Saturday evening, October 13, 2007 in the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Nora (Schofield) Della Zoppa.
Prior to her retirement in 1969, she was employed for many years at Lovell & Covell, and the New England Confectionery Co. (NECCO) of Cambridge.
She was a resident of East Boston and Revere for most of her life until moving to Danvers 7 years ago.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Lorraine Della Zoppa of Danvers, and with whom she made her home, 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen & Rose Della Zoppa of Crystal Lake, IL, Susan & Paul Delaney of W. Newbury, Lisa & Thomas Gaskill of Hardwick, 3 great grandchildren, Nikolaus and Alicia Della Zoppa of Crystal Lake IL, Emily Delaney of W. Newbury, a sister, Margaret Della Zoppa of Revere and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony Della Zoppa, Rose Lardiere and Veronica Della Zoppa.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 9:45 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Mary of The Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers.
