Raymond D. Dean, 94, of New Bedford died October 11, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Gladys M. (McDonald) Dean with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Howard B. and Hannah (Archer) Dean, he lived in Acushnet most of his life before moving to New Bedford in 2000.
Mr. Dean was employed as a general contractor for many years.
He enjoyed activities at Olympia Towers, the company of his family and trips to Florida and Horseneck Beach Campgrounds.
Survivors include a son, Paul Dean of New Bedford; a daughter, Carole A. Means, and her husband James, of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Marian Hotte.
