Nashua, NH - Claire M. Rochford, age 75, a former Tewksbury resident, died unexpectedly
on Saturday, October 13, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, following a brief illness. She was
the beloved wife of Daniel F. Rochford, with whom she had celebrated a 54th wedding anniversary
this past August 8th.
She was born in Lowell, on February 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice
(Garneau) Miner. She was raised in Brighton, Mass., and graduated from Brighton High School.
She lived in Tewksbury from 1963 until 2002, when she moved to Hollis, NH. She had resided in
Nashua since March.
As a resident of Tewksbury, Mrs. Rochford was a communicant of St. William’s Church in
Tewksbury.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Levine and her husband
Steven of Nashua; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Rochford and his wife Kerry (Darcy) of
Litchfield, NH; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, and Ashley Levine of Nashua, Daniel, Brittany,
Michael, Steven, and Heather Rochford of Litchfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean
Micalizzi and her husband Joseph of Hollis, NH, Patricia Cruikshank and her husband Glenn of
Brookline, NH; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Miner and his wife Mary of Medford, OR,
Albert Miner and his wife Janell of Jackson, MO, Maurice Miner and his wife Daphne of Ellijay,
GA; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Arlene Rochford of Magnolia, MA; many
nieces, nephews, and cousins, includinga special cousin, Antonio “Toni” Gilman of Dracut.
A Memorial Mass was held Thursday, October 18, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, East Chelmsford. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 2will be appreciated.
