Mrs. Lillian M. (Breeden) Groves, beloved wife of Richard B. Groves and lifelong resident of Medford, died at the Winchester Hospital on Thursday, October 11, 2007. She was 84 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, she was a beloved daughter of the late Pascal and Beatrice (Boundy) Breeden.
Mrs. Groves was a graduate of the Catherine Gibbs School in Boston. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening at her own home, loved to do arts and crafts and enjoyed going to many arts and crafts shows. She also enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband, Richard. Together they enjoyed traveling to Maine, Florida and world wide travel.
She married her beloved husband, Richard, of 64 years on October 12, 1943, and she was the loving mother of Linda M. Groves of Medford, devoted sister of Sylvia Cobb of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Kermit, Reginald and Paul Breeden and Beatrice Magee.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday at 10:30AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Sunday from 2 to 5 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
