Obituary

Manchester– Irene M. (St Onge) Lamarre, 98, died October 11, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on April 8, 1909 the daughter of Arsene and Laura (Villeneuve) St. Onge. She had been a lifelong resident of the city.
She worked in the weave room of the Amoskeag Mills, and other various mills throughout Manchester.
She enjoyed lifelong memories of living and working in her grandmother’s boarding house.
Members of her family include 2 sons, Donald Lamarre and his wife Mary Ann, Roger Lamarre and his wife Bessie all of Wilmington, NC.,
For the past 25 years she lived with her loving daughter Thelma Lamarre whom she adored.. She was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She also leaves 4 grandchildren, Richard Lamarre, Tania Lamarre, Eric Lamarre, Babette Lamarre, 6 greatgrandchildren Remi Lotero, Larissa Lamarre, Laura Lamarre, Julien Tygett, Jack Lamarre and Luke Lamarre.
She volunteered at Prime Time and Easter Seals. She also volunteered at local hospitals knitting baby garments.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard U. Lamarre on April 27, 1983.
Services: calling hours will be on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 676 Montgomery St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 am in Parish of the Transfiguration. Kelley and Youville Sts. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Easter Seals, 555 Auburn St, Manchester NH 03103-4800, or to the charity of one’s choice.
