Lowell, MA – Margaret A. (Philip) Moody, 72, of Lowell and formerly of Vinalhaven, Maine, died Thursday October 11th at Town and Country Nursing Center in Lowell.
Born in Vinalhaven, ME on May 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Clara M. (Walls) Philip.
Mrs. Moody attended the Vinalhaven School. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and family cookouts. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, reading and playing cards with the girls.
Mrs. Moody is survived by her daughter Jennifer Campbell and husband Clifford, two grandchildren, Samantha Jade and Clifford Michael, II, A son-in-law Alfred Bernier and grandson Richard, A step daughter Pamela Mohonen and her husband Armas with two grandchildren, Ailie and Siiri of Maine, two sisters Evelyn Thompson and Gertrude Godack, three brothers Arthur of Germany, Frieland and Cecil Philip of Maine, several nieces and nephews, with special fondness for her nephew Bruce and wife Brenda Philip. She was also the mother of the late Juanita Bernier, sister of the late Ruth Jeffers and Priscilla Sheperd and brother of the late Joseph Philip
Her Graveside Service will take place on Monday at 10:30A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery II in Lowell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association of MA, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991 or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
