Paul S. LeBlanc
...USAF Veteran; retired from Transgas; 67
TEWKSBURY - Paul S. LeBlanc, age 67, a well known resident of the town for the past 35 years, died Thursday, October 11, at the home of his son in Wilmington, following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born in Somerville, on April 14, 1940, a son of the late Joseph and Jane Rose (D'Entrement) LeBlanc. He was raised in Charlestown and had lived in Everett for twenty years, before moving to Tewksbury in 1973.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged as an Airman Second Class. He remained a member of the American Legion Post 259 in Tewksbury throughout his life.
He began his career as an apprentice at the Charlestown Navy Yard, and co-owned C & L Exxon Service Station in Everett for more then twenty years. After moving to Tewksbury, he was employed by Towne Auto autobody repair shop in Lowell for more than ten years. The last nineteen years of his career were with Transgas of Lowell, the former subsidiary of the Lowell Gas and Colonial Gas companies.
His survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher P. LeBlanc and his wife Regina "Gina" (DePasquale) of Wilmington, Kenneth N. LeBlanc and his wife Kelly (Conway) of Tyngsboro, Marc J. LeBlanc and his wife Lindsay (Katz) of Franklin; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle J. Dwyer and her husband Michael of Alton,IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman J. LeBlanc and his wife Diane of Woburn; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Hubbard and her husband Charles of Pembroke Pines, FL; eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Chloe and Jordan LeBlanc, Paul and Kevin Meehan and Mark Spiller, Kelsey LeBlanc, Keegan Dwyer; one great grandson, Brady; and many neices and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was held Monday, October 15, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial with USAF honors was held at Tewksbury Cemetery. Visiting Memorials to Paul may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
