TEWKSBURY - Catina “Tina” (Vitale) Santore, 82, died Friday, Dec. 27, at the Lahey ClinicMedical Center in Burlington, Mass., after an extended period of failing health. She was married51 years to the late Frank Santore, who died in 1991.
She was born in Boston, April 24, 1920, a daughter of the late Catino and Josephine(DeFrancesco) Vitale. She lived in Medford, Reading and Florida, before moving to Tewksburyin 1985, where she resided at the Flucker Heights senior housing complex.
She retired from Jordan Marsh, now Macy’s, where she had worked in the Burlington, Lowelland Malden Stores as a sales clerk.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church, and a member of the church’s Blessed VirginMary Sodality. She was also a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club.
She is survived by one son, Phil Santore of Salem and his fiancé Debbie Hery, two daughters andsons-in-law, Joanne and her husband Allen “Al” Hicks of Tewksbury, Marie and her husbandJoseph Tomaski of Milford, a sister, Frances Mancuso of Foxboro, two brothers, Stephen Vitaleof No. Reading, Angelo Vitale of Fla., 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many niecesand nephews.
She was also sister of the late Joseph and John Vitale, and Anna Pullano.
Her funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Dec. 31, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
