Suddenly at Brigham & Womens Hospital, Boston, of Taunton, October 9, 2007. Francisco ”Frank” Cruz. Retired Taunton Firefighter. He was 71 Born & raised in Taunton. He is survived by his former wife Patricia (Stanek) Sylvester of Onset. Frank was educated in the Taunton school system & was a Fireman for the Taunton Fire Department as a driver & Pump operator for 27 Years. He was a member of the Taunton Elks & enjoyed gardening. Son of the late Jeronimo & Maria (Gonsalves) Cruz. Father of James Cruz of Houston TX., Allen Cruz & his wife Karen of Taunton, Paul Cruz & his wife Michelle of S. Dartmouth, MA., Brother of Alice Fleury of Taunton, Cindy Babiczuk of Taunton, Jack Cruz of Taunton, Bart Cruz of Taunton. & the late Annie Godlewski, Edna Feeney, Antonio Cruz, Linda Posca, Beatrice Thayer. Grandfather of Ashley Williams of Midland TX., Jullian Cruz of Houston TX. A Funeral Service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wafe Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton Sat Oct 13th at 10 AM.
