Obituary

Worcester—Harold B. Bell, 95, died Saturday, October 6, 2007, in the Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston. His wife of 61 years, Corinne E. (Johnson) Bell, died in 2004. He leaves two daughters, Heather Stewart of New Braintree and Mary Ellen Preston of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. A son, Frank P. Bell, a brother, Albert Bell, and a grandson, Andrew B. Bell all predeceased him. He was born in Leominster, son of Frank P. and Ethel M. (Bradford) Bell. He graduated from WPI in 1935. He was a purchasing agent for Hobbs Manufacturing and Vice President of Worcester Stamped Metal. He was an active member of Adams Square Congregational Church, a member of the Gideon’s International, and a member of Wilder Lodge AF&AM of Leominster. He was active with the YMCA and Camp Putnam. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 3:00 p.m. with a calling hour from 2-3 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Please omit flowers. Donations can be made to Camp Putnam, 141 Rutherford Rd., New Braintree, MA 01531.
