New Bedford-Robert Sousa age 61 died Saturday October 6, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, unexpectedly. He was the husband if Dianna (Neves) Sousa of New Bedford. Brother of Horace Sousa of New Bedford and Fernando Sousa of Mattapoisett. He is also survived by his Mother and a stepgrandaughter Mckenzie Silvia.
Mr. Sousa was the son of Victorina(Tavares)Sousa of New Bedford, and the late Horacio Sousa. He was born in Livramento, Ponta Del gada, Soa Miguel, Azores.He has lived in this area for 49 years.
Mr. Sousa’s funeral will be from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Wednesday at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church New Bedford at 9 A.M. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. His burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery.
