Obituary

Sebastiano “Jim” Lombardo, 70 of Medford formerly of the West End of Boston died Thursday at home unexpectedly.

Born in Boston, in lived in the West End of Boston and for the past 50 years in Medford. He was the son of the late Domenico and Vincenza (Baffo) Lombardo.

Mr. Lombardo was appointed a Fireman in the City of Medford in 1966 and retired February 22, 1979. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War and had two tours of duty 1950-1952 and 1953-1956. Jim was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Medford Firefighters Club.

Beloved husband of Claire (O´Loughlin). Devoted father of James Lombardo and his wife Patricia of Wakefield, Joseph Lombardo and his wife Angela of Tewksbury, and Robert Lombardo of Wakefield. Loving grandfather of Michael, Elizabeth, Kevin and Kyle. Brother of Camille DiModica of Peabody, Rose Buonopane of Medford, and the late Geno Lombardo.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
