Manuel R. Dovale, 80, died Friday, October 5, at his home under the care of Old Colony Hospice. He was the husband of Conceicao (Coelho) Dovale. Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was raised and educated in Madeira. He immigrated to the US in 1960 and settled in Stoughton. Mr. Dovale worked for over 20 years for Chase & Son in Randolph, retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife Conceicao, he is survived by his children Jose Dovale, Tony Dovale, Mary Correia and Dennis Dovale all of Stoughton, Charlie Dovale of Marion and Benny Dovale of Taunton. He was the brother of Maria Dovale and Rita Machado both of Stoughton, Gabriela and Agueda Dovale both of Portugal and the late Henry Rodrigues, Diego Rodrigues, Gloria Rodrigues and Joaquim Rodrigues. He was the father of the late Joao M. Dovale and Conceicao Dovale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 9 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
