METHUEN – Genevieve C. (Cantillon) Murphy age 88 died Wednesday October 3, 2007 at Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. For more than 10 years she was a secretary with the Lawrence School System. She also volunteered at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
The widow of Bart Murphy, she leaves her nieces and nephews, Robert Pierce and his wife Karen of Salem, NH, Carol O’Loughlin and her husband Brian of Methuen, MA, Diane Law of E. Rochester, NH, Gail Robbins of Saco, ME, Michael Robbins and his wife Laurie of Chester, NH and Frank MacDonald and his wife Nina of North Andover, MA.
Genevieve also leaves numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701-9376. At Genevieves request there are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday at 9:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
