Bedford – Guy J. Durocher, 55, formerly of Worcester died on Wednesday, October 3 in the VA Medical Center in Bedford after an illness.
Mr. Durocher is survived by his mother M. Therese (Vigeant) Durocher of Worcester; two brothers Victor R. Durocher and his wife Susan of Leicester and Marc Durocher and his wife Jeanne of Auburn; five sisters Anne Berberian and her husband Edward of Auburn, Denise Johnson and her husband Robert of Orange Park, FL, Claire LaBonte and her husband Alfred of Chicopee, Yvette Rutledge of Auburn and Giselle Desroches and her husband David of Worcester.
Mr. Durocher was born in Worcester son of the late Victor R. Durocher and lived in Worcester all of his life. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.
Guy worked for the grounds crew at the College of the Holy Cross and as an assistant chef at the former Marriott at Lincoln Square and Memorial Hospital before retiring due to illness. He enjoyed painting, fishing and watching NASCAR races.
A funeral mass for Mr. Durocher will be held on Thursday, October 11 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church 35 Hamilton St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
