Mary E. Ryan, 86, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, October 4, 2007 in Exeter, NH. Mrs. Ryan was born in Cambridge, MA on November 9, 1920, a daughter of the late James Edward and Mary E. (Drumm) Campbell. She was a resident of Londonderry for the past 16 years, formerly living in Cambridge. She had been employed as a crossing guard for the Cambridge Police Dept. She was a very devoted mother and caregiver to her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret M. Ryan of Londonderry, and Catherine Banville and her husband Jack of Nashua, NH; two sons, Dennis R. Ryan, Jr. of Derry, NH, and Joseph E. Ryan and his wife Linda of Londonderry; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Campbell and his wife Barbara of York, ME, and John Campbell of Acton, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis R. Ryan who died in 1977.
Friends called on Monday, October 8th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Rd., Exeter, NH 03833.
