Nancy M. (Stoddard) Salisbury, 82 years died October 3, 2007, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph Manor. She was the wife of the late Lester J. Salisbury, Sr. Nancy was born and raised in Brockton and had been a lifelong resident, daughter of the late William H. and Mary A. (Robinson) Stoddard. She was a 1944 graduate of Brockton High School and was the winner of the 1925 Brockton Baby Contest. For many years she was a member of Westgate Lanes Bowling League, was an avid animal lover and especially enjoyed time with her family and traveling.
She was the mother of Mary O’Reilly and her husband Michael of Brockton, Lester “Butchie” Salisbury, Jr. and his wife Marion of Brockton, Jeannie Bevis of Maine, Patricia Salisbury of Brockton and Nancy Rhode and her husband Wayne of Easton. Sister of Richard Stoddard of Brockton, and the late William Stoddard. Cousin of the late Patricia “Carty” McCarthy. Grandmother of Rhonda, Mark, Shane, Shelley, Erin, Brian, Scott, Heather, Jessica and Wayne Paul. Great grandmother of Sean, Daniel, Katelyn, Christopher, Angelina, Anthony, Kyle and Ryan.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm.
