New Bedford –Jacqueline D. (Dillie) Melo, aged 45 years, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital unexpectedly. She was the wife of Michael A. Melo of Acushnet. She was the loved mother of Jacob Melo, and Michaella Melo both of Acushnet. Jackie was the sister of Carolyn “Lynn” Briselli of PA, She is also survived by 2 nephews and a niece.
Jacqueline was the daughter of Harry “Dwayne” and Carolyn (Brooks) Dillie of Washington, PA. She was born in Washington, PA, and moved here in 1984. She attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She was a volunteer at the Middle School. Jackie loved her pets.
Mrs. Melo’s funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., on Tuesday at 7:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 125 Main St., Acushnet at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
