Mary E. (Giamattei) (Grimard) Ghedoni, age 70, died October 1 at Saints Medical Center, following a long illness.
She was born on December 3, 1936 in Lynn, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Joseph and Viola (Ellis) Giamattei. Wife to the late Bruce E. Ghedoni.
She received her education in the Lowell and Revere school system. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Ghedoni was a waitress for Livingstone's of Billerica for 19 years and previously worked as a waitress at the Trombly House and Walbrook of Dracut. She enjoyed dancing, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ray Trottier of Dracut and Robyn and Steve Lessard of Pelham, NH ; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Grimard of Lowell and Scott and Toni Grimard of Abington, MA; seven grandchildren, Bruce Grimard, Jamie Trottier, Stephanie Grimard, Christine and Jessica Lessard, Nicholas and Haley Grimard; one great grandchild, Kiley Grimard; two aunts, Anna Pacella of Winthrop, Caroline Giamattei of Stoneham; two dear friends Lillian Rasimowicz of Dracut and Lorraine Bergeron of Lowell, as well as many other long time friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the sister to the late Anna Mottola.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Thursday , Oct. 4 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Friday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Michael's Church at 11:30 am.. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
