Rose M. “Rosie” Rossi, 76 of Methuen, died Monday unexpectedly in the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
Born in Boston, she lived in Methuen for the past year and formerly of Medford. She was the daughter of the late Incoronata (Leone) and Francesco Avellino.
Rose worked in the Billing Department for many years at the former Filenes at Downtown Crossing. She also was a Chef at Ferrantis Restaurant in Malden retiring in 1989, and prior to that at the former DePasquales Restaurant in Medford for 6 ½ years.
Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Rossi. Devoted mother of Charles J. Rossi of Pelham, NH and Renee Kenney of Methuen. Loving grandmother of Eric and Zachary Rossi, Stephanie and Stephen Kenney. Sister of Lucy Martorano of California, Lettie Kelley of Everett, and the late Greta Cameron, Carmela Altardo, Frank, Anthony, Michael and Albert Avellino.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
