Priscilla (Gonzalez) Walsh, a retired Spanish teacher and 45 year resident of Needham died on Sunday, September 30th at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Born in Venezuela, Mrs. Walsh received her Masters degree in Education from Harvard in 1958. In 1960 she married her late husband John J. Walsh and moved to the US. Mrs. Walsh was a member of the Mass Teachers Assoc., the Mass Association of Foreign Language Educators. She taught Spanish at Randolph High School and the Walnut Hill Prep School in Natick. Mrs. Walsh retired from teaching in 1996. She was received recognition 3 times in Who’s Who in America among Teachers. Wife of the late John J. Walsh, she was the dear mother of Priscilla W. Picardi -Haswell of Millis and John Paul Walsh of Dedham. Sister of Rafael Gonzalez and Alesia Gorrochotegui of Venezuela and the late Milagros reyes and Leopoldo Gonzalez. Loving grandmother of Sarah, Matthew and Paul Walsh and Christian and Patrick Picardi. Aunt of Janet and the late Gustavo Gorrochotegui and their children Katie and Kelly. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Thursday, October 4 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment at Needham Cemetery.
