Obituary

BEVERLY: Frank A. Plutnicki, 86, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at his home following an extended illness. He was the husband of Pauline S. (Foucher) Plutnicki.
Born in Salem on September 1, 1921, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Nigorski) Plutnicki. He was a graduate of Salem High School class of 1939. He had resided in Salem for many years before moving to Beverly in 1955. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Frank was employed as a supervisor for the former John J. Riley Co. in Woburn for over twenty years before retiring in 1982. He also once worked at the former Carr Leather Co. in Peabody for several years.
In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David F. and Jane M. (Pattee) Plutnicki of Beverly, two granddaughters, Katherine P. and Michelle M. Plutnicki both of Beverly, two sisters, Regina Wharff of Salem and Mary Wroblewski of Brewster and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a sister, Jennie Wilczenski and two brothers, Matthew and Anthony Plutnicki.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Beverly at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 4 – 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
