Vincent H. DelPeschio, of Stoneham, formerly of East Boston and Winchester died Friday morning at the Lahey Clinic from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was 34.
Born in Medford, he was the son of Nicola and Angela (Corrado) DelPeschio. He was a member of the boy scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Vincent graduated from Winchester High School, where he played varsity baseball and went on to attend Merrimac College in Andover. Vinnie graduated from Mt. Ida College and worked as a funeral director at several Boston area funeral homes. Early in his career he received his initial training at the Dello Russo Funeral Home in Medford. His leadership abilities, hard work and sensitivity for those in need earned him management positions at J.S. Waterman Funeral Home in Wellesley, the Rapino Funeral Home of East Boston and Langone’s Harborside Funeral Home in the North End. Vinnie was a lover of music and enjoyed live bands. He played golf well and enthusiastically watched golf in television.
He was the Beloved husband of Donna (Scire) DelPeschio of the North End. He was a loving father to Isabella and Mattea DelPeschio. He was a devoted son to Nick and Angela (Corrado) DelPeschio of Stoneham. He was the dear brother of Nichole Bogie and her husband Brian of Burlington. He was a dear grandson to Angela “Tootie” (Matera) and the late Henry V. Corrado, the late Vincenzo and Filomena DelPeschio. He was the uncle of Madison and Brianna Bogie, Nicholas, Benjamin, Samuel, Catherine and Giovanna Scire.
His Funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday,at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass concelebrated in Sacred Heart Church, North Square, Boston at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home and Monday from 4 thru 8 PM.
