Joshua T. LaRosa, 17 of Franklin died peacefully in his home on September 29 with his family beside him after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of Scott and Robin (Hurd) LaRosa.
Born in Natick, June 27, 1990, he was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Joshua was a senior at Franklin High School and was a Black Belt in Karate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Jennifer and Emily LaRosa of Franklin.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Nicholas and Lillian LaRosa of Franklin and Richard and Marcia Hurd of Franklin.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 3 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Private burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m.
