Salem: Marion (Deschene) Ralph age 90 a former resident of Salem, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the wife of Albert H. Ralph, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Susan (Thompson) Deschene. For many years she worked two jobs simultaneously. Marion worked part time for the Beverly Trust Co. in bookkeeping and for the Beverly Hospital in accounts payable and receivable. Married in August of 1940, Marion and her husband loved dancing and, over the years, were to attend many dances sponsored by the Peabody Knights of Columbus, the Vittori Rocci Post of Beverly and many other organizational and fund raising dances. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A resident of Salem, she was a member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem, prior to moving to Bedford, MA in August of 2005.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Donna A. Millette of Bedford, a son, Alan S. Ralph and his wife Mary of Manhattan, NY, 2 brothers: Eugene Deschene of Florida, William of California, 4 sisters: Eleanor Raynes of Salem, Dorothy Munroe of Florida, Doris Pasquale of Danvers, Ruth Castonguay of Peabody. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Melissa Lynch, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Rita Deschene and her brother Edward Deschene.
