Lowell, MA – Sophie M. (Strykowski) Winn, 91, of Lowell, died Wednesday September 26th at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. She was the wife of the late John H. Winn.
Born in Lawrence on January 20, 1916, she was a daughter of the late John and Tekla (Szafran) Strykowski.
Mrs. Winn attended Lowell schools. She worked as a solderer at Honeywell in Lowell for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Lowell and was a member of the P.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary in Lowell. Mrs. Winn also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling.
Mrs. Winn is survived by a brother Stanley Strykowski and his wife Claire of Dracut, a sister Stella “Diamond” Diamantopoulos of Dracut, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 2 until 5 PM. Her funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 9 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church in Lowell. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
