Ms. June Sturgeon of Medford, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Monday, September 24, 2007. She was 83 years old.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the beloved daughter of the late Forrest and Rose (Townshend) Sturgeon. Ms. Sturgeon was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Medford, serving the church in many capacities, including past president of the Women’s Club and as Moderator. She was also the past president of Business Forms Management Association of Boston and Past Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Club. She was a graduate of the Somerville Public School System, Tufts University and Boston University.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Friday at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visitation was Friday, prior to the service, from 10 to 11 AM. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
