Barbara Davis, 81, of Windham, NH, died Sunday at her niece’s home in Windham, NH. She lived in Windham for the past year and a half, previously living in Medford for 30 years.
She was born in Somerville, MA, grew up and was educated in Medford, MA.
Barbara received her Master’s Degree in music and education from Indiana State University while she was serving at St. Mary of the Woods as a Sister of Providence. She taught in Chicago, No. Carolina, Indiana and Massachusetts.
Barbara was a teacher for the Malden, MA School System. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Medford, MA, and was active with the Medford Senior Center. Barbara was also a member of the MRTA, the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association. She had a great compassion for those in need. Barbara generously supported projects for the underserved.
She was predeceased by her parents Daniel II & Mary (Lyons) Davis and by 2 brothers and an infant sister: Daniel III, Hubert, & Bernadette Davis.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 AM at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Medford, MA. There are no calling hours.
