Irene Unwin 85, formerly of Privilege St. died Monday at Mt. St. Francis Health Center. She was the wife of the late George Unwin. Mrs. Unwin was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late George and Irene (Pleau) Maranda. Mrs. Unwin was a homemaker.
She is survived by ten children Henry, Harry, Richard, and Darlene Unwin, Georgette Petrin, Roberta George, and Charlene Gignac all of Woonsocket, Robert Unwin, Jacqueline Aruda, and Irene Dumont all of Maine, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late George Unwin, and sister of the late Robert and Arthur Maranda.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in Sacred Heart Church, Second Ave. Woonsocket.
