Margaret E. (Kelly) Fitch, 88, of 6 Maple Street died Monday,
Sept. 24 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center surrounded by her loving
family.
Her husband Donald B. Fitch died in 1989, she leaves three daughters
Margaret R. Poirier and her husband Edgar of Rochdale, Nancy L. Massey and
her husband William of Leicester, Donna B. Ewick and her husband James of
Worcester, seven grandchildren Carolyn Brooks, Laurie Brown, Jennifer
Laflash, Elizabeth and Kathleen Massey, Donald and Joseph Ewick, 10
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by
brothers James, William, George and John Kelly and sisters Mary Twomey,
Lillian Murphy and Florence Kelly.
Mrs. Fitch was born in Worcester daughter of William and Delia (Galipeau)
Kelly. She attended Worcester public schools. She worked for several years
at the Leicester Library. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, the
Worcester Emblem Club, Leicester Seniors Citizens and the U.S. Steel
Retirees. She enjoyed cooking, music and dancing, She traveled to Spain,
Bermuda and Florida with her husband. She was a nurturing mother and
grandmother. As we remember Margaret please honor her by visiting an
elderly loved one or friend as she would have done, Margaret loved visiting
and opening her home to family and friends.
The funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 28 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X
Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will be in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30 AM Friday. In
