Shirley (Quint) Cohen of Revere and formerly of Malden died on September 20, 2007 at the age of 76. She is the beloved wife of the late Irwin Cohen.
Shirley was born in Boston and attended the Boston schools and graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School. She was a co-owner of the Broadway Card and Stationers on Broadway in Revere with her husband. Shirley was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved to travel and play card games. She was also an active member in the Sisterhood of the B’Nai Israel of Beachmont Temple in Revere.
Shirley was the devoted mother of Harvey Cohen and his wife Lisa Reigle-Cohen of New York and Marilyn Whipple and her husband Mark of Milton, MA. She was the dear sister of Sidney Quint and his wife Janet of Milton. Shirley was the loving grandmother of Jeremy and Emily Whipple and Malcolm and Larissa Cohen. She is also the dear sister-in-law of Leonard and Myra Simons of Florida.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) in Chelsea on Sunday, September 23rd and 1:00PM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Whipple of Milton, Sunday following interment and Monday, September 24th starting at 7:00PM.
