TYNGSBORO– Eileen (Brown) Chalifoux-Wise died on Saturday September 22nd at her home at the age of 87. She was the widow of the late J.A. Wise of Montreal, P.Q.
Mrs. Wise was born in Lowell, a daughter of the late Ernest J. Brown and Alice (Landry) Brown. She attended St. Michael’s Church in Lowell. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper. Before retiring, she worked for many years at the Dracut Center Pharmacy. Mrs. Wise enjoyed reading, writing, and the companionship of her many loved ones.
Her survivors include one daughter Patricia Wise Bouchard Pendergast and son-in-law Patrick Pendergast of Tyngsboro and one son and daughter-in-law John A. and Kathleen Wise of Pelham, NH. She also leaves a sister June B. Ducharme who resides in Dracut and Florida, three grandchildren Brian Bouchard and his wife Heather of Dracut, Daniel Bouchard of Dracut, and Julia Wise of Pelham, three great grandchildren Corey, Jacob, and Colin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her only brother Neal R. Brown and his wife Margaret and her first husband S/Sgt. William E. Ward who was killed in action in Italy during WW II.
Friends may call at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 5 until 8 PM. Her funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in her name to Saints Medical Cancer Center, 1 Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852.
