Obituary


Mr. James E. Driscoll, 70, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, MA.

Born in Methuen, MA., Mr. Driscoll was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a 1954 graduate of Lawrence High School. He had worked as a filter operator for the City of Lawrence Water Department for 38 years. Mr. Driscoll had served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Reliefs In Firefighters Association as well as various other social clubs in the city. Mr. Driscoll was also an avid sports fan.

The son of the late William J. and Catherine J. (Crowley) Driscoll, family members include:
his wife: Jean (Daley) Driscoll of Haverhill, MA.
4 children: James E. Driscoll, Jr. of Bradford, MA.
Judith E. Torrissi and her husband Ray of Lawrence, MA
Jay E. Driscoll of Haverhill, MA.
Jennifer Kanan and her husband Ritchie of Haverhill, MA
aunt: Nora Curtik of North Andover, MA.
brother-in-law: Jack Melia of North Andover, MA.
as well as 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Driscoll was also brother of the late Kathleen Driscoll, William Driscoll and Evelyn Melia

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10:00 A.M at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA.

Family and friends may call on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
