New Bedford- Hilda S. Machado, age 85 died Thursday September 20, 2007 at Sacred Heart Home, after a long illness. She was the beloved widow of Antone Machado. Mrs. Machado was the mother of Kathleen Sylvia and her husband Phillip of Fairhaven, MA., Jane Pimental and her husband Arthur, and Joan Dugan both of Dartmouth, MA. She was the mother of the late Patricia Machado. She was the sister of the late Evelyn White, and Edith Machado. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Machado was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Costa) Aguiar. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. She was a stitcher with local dress shops before her retirement. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Union.
Mrs. Machado’s Visiting hours will be Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. At the request of the family Mrs. Machado’s funeral and burial will be private.
