Florence Hudak, a former resident of Olyphant, died Sunday afternoon at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was the widow of Joseph P. Hudak.
Born in Forest City, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Jaworsky, she was educated in Forest City schools. She and her husband owned and operated a small grocery store in Olyphant. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church and the Confraternity of Christian Women. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed cooking all ethnic dishes.
Surviving are two nieces, Evelyn Dutkavitch, Mays Landing, N.J.; and Virginia Lastawska, Springfield.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Wignall, Cassie Arata, Stella Dutkavitch, Lillian Heffron; three brothers, Julius, Walter, and Theodore Jaworsky.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grand St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 in Holy Ghost Church, Olyphant. Interment, St. Stanislaus, Cemetery.
