
Dorothy M. (Lewis) Parrin, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Friday, September 14 at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Edward Parrin. Born in Middletown Springs, VT, she was raised and educated there. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 34 years, previously living in Charlestown. Mrs. Parrin was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, playing the piano and writing.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary A. Black and her husband Kenny and Louise A. Brauneis and her husband Robert Jr. all of Stoughton. She was the sister of Albert Lewis of VT and the late Paul Lewis, Frank Lewis and Alice McMorrow. Mrs. Parrin was the grandmother of Sara E. Black, Kimberly M. Black, Michelle E. Brauneis, James R. Brauneis and Patrick E. Brauneis and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 22 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02680. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Stoughton.
