Gildo M. Raffa, 83 of Somerville and Bonita Springs, FL, died Wednesday unexpectedly in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Filomena (Aiello) and Giuseppe Raffa. Gildo was a Cutter, at the former House of Bianchi in South Boston for many years and retired 15 years ago.
Beloved husband of the late Paolina (Aiello). Devoted brother of Olga Aiello of Somerville, and the late Sebastiano Raffa, Maria Garro and Lucia Raffa. Loving uncle of Anna Aiello, Rosaly Aiello, Tina Aiello, Sal Lombardo, and Lina Formica. Also survived by several great nieces, nephews and great great nephew.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
