Edward N. Sharon, 81 died, Thursday September 20th, at the Sachem Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Begley) Sharon.
Ed was born in Weymouth and grew up in Braintree; he was the son of the late Norman and Irma (Nash) Sharon. He attended Braintree Schools.
He was a resident of Bridgewater for 12 years before moving to Whitman with his son, two years ago.
He was a WWII Navy veteran.
He was employed by Pneumatic Scales Company in Quincy, for 47 years as an installation engineer.
He is survived by his children, Edward Sharon of Whitman, Kathleen Lynch of Wareham and Mary Ellen Shallies of Bridgewater; 7 grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Shirley Turnbull.
His funeral service will be held Monday September 24th at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle), Whitman, MA., followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM, in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA. Visiting hours Sunday September 23rd 4-7 PM.
